Farida Sedoc is a visual artist based in Amsterdam. Long-time friend and collaborator on our last year Keti Koti graphic T-Shirt as well as being a featured artist in Chapter 1NE, an exhibition curated by Patta Co-founders Edson Sabajo and Guillaume ‘Gee’ Schmidt. Originally the concept of the project was to create several in-store workshops surrounding black hair but due to social distancing, the project changed shape. This summer capsule collection is inspired by this Patta hair salon idea where we asked Farida to assist us in creating a series of 3 graphic T-Shirts, a Silk Scarf and a Toiletry Bag.
The Patta x Farida Sedoc Hands T-Shirt is a standout piece from this capsule. Coming in a 180gsm BCI cotton, the front of the piece has a large script logo screen print in a green colour with a set of hands with painted nails featuring below. Branding is finished with a woven tab just above the hem of the piece.
